On the other hand, your candy from a grocery store may have different unnatural colors. These unnatural colors can be bad for your health.
Research shows that these chemicals are associated with attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity in children. The immune system can get compromised too; so you get sick more often.
In nature, the colors do not only attract you to the food but also provide several antioxidants. However, processed food do not have such antioxidants. When you do not eat several antioxidants from various food sources, you are basically running defenseless against several germs. It also makes you prone to weight gain.
So if you are dieting, it is a good idea to think not just about calories. In reality, the food dyes and preservatives may be causing you to gain weight.
